FLOMUN NIGHT OF GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT

Our Mission

Florida Model United Nations (FLOMUN) is a student-led, Florida-based non-profit organization that aims to make Model UN accessible to all. Currently, economic inequality is rampant in MUN. Attending conferences can be very costly, and as a result, low income students are excluded. Students who do participate tend to come from wealthy, privileged backgrounds, reinforcing the elitism problem that has long dominated the MUN circuit. Through our comprehensive approach to reducing inequity, we strive to make the MUN space a more equitable one.

There are two components to our inititative:

• We offer free MUN training services to Title I middle schools.

• We host affordable and accessible MUN conferences.
